“How was your day?” That is a habitual question we tend to ask our children every day after school. There is nothing wrong with that. Although, I have found it much more informative, and intriguing to ask my son questions that were out of the ordinary, and to go a step further with an outlandish story to follow every now and then. This would get him talking up a storm, and helped me see more of who he is, and what he was about.
Not only is this helpful for us parents, but it also gives our children the chance to speak to us parents more freely whilst being imaginative. I say, the more unconventional and creative the question; the more you learn about your child. Here are a few questions that I have found to be so much fun asking my son after school. The answers, and facial expressions that come will give a special insight into their precious little minds, and it is so much fun. Give it a try!
