As we all huddle inside our homes, attempting to, ahem, home school (and if you're like me - failing miserably at it) the thought of being parent, employee and now teacher would never of crossed our minds about 3 months ago, but here we are - frustrated, frazzled and if we're honest - losing our shit.
In all of this it's important to remember that our minis are little sponges soaking in everything we say and do, and in order to stay calm I've gathered a series of great quotes to put things into perspective and keep things at home sweet.
“The way we talk to our children becomes their inner voice.”
“Each day we make deposits into the memory banks of our children.”
Charles R. Swindell
“Are you the adult you want your child to become?”
“Let them be little.”
“Make your kids feel capable and independent, not entitled.”
“A child that is allowed to be disrespectful to their parents will not have true respect for anyone. “
“Being a mom has made me really tired and so happy.”
“Parenting is fucking HARD.”
“She taught me that fear is not an option.”
-Diane Von Furstenberg, on her Mom.
“It is not easy being a mom. If it were easy then fathers would do it.”
